She said she was able to get a lot of work done while spending the night on the roof.Principals and teachers will do just about anything to motivate their students. That’s what Huffman Elementary principal Angie LeVier had in mind when she challenged her students to exceed last year’s PTO fundraiser of $30,000. If they won the bet, she would have to spend the night on the roof of the school. They did and so she did.
The one-time teacher turned assistant principal, and now principal for the last year-and-a-half, found herself on the short end of the stick last year and ended up having to kiss a pig. This year’s fundraiser was a Grand Adventure Boosterthon and her staff thought it would be cool for the principal to spend the night on the top of the building.She thought the goal would be a tough challenge.
“I had solicited some help from my front office ladies because I really needed some moral support,” she said.“It took me about 15 to 20 minutes to get down I was so terrified,” she giggled.
