Hastings Prince Edward District School Board Director of Education Katherine MacIver issued a statement in response CUPE’s planned strike action late Thursday afternoon.
Before and after school programs hosted at HPEDSB schools and community use of schools permits are also on pause during the job action. We have received confirmation that CUPE will go on strike starting tomorrow. As a result, all schools will be closed to students on Friday, November 4, 2022.
