James is playing his 17th season in the NBA after getting picked No. 1 overall in 2003. He played seven seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers before moving to Miami, where he won two NBA titles in four seasons with the Heat. He moved back to Cleveland for a four-year stint, where he guided the Cavaliers to the NBA Finals four-straight years, winning the championship in 2016.
Just this week, James was named a captain in the upcoming NBA All-Star Game. He was one of 10 starters named—five from each conference. As the leading vote winner in the Western Conference, he will be a captain who will select his starting five among the other eight starters, and he will get to select the remainder of his team from the reserves, who will be later named.The Los Angeles Lakers will play the Philadelphia 76ers, on Saturday, January 25, at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
