Child Malnutrition Crisis in South Africa Continues to WorsenSouth Africa grapples with increasing cases of child malnutrition, with the Northern Cape being the hardest hit. The WHO defines malnutrition broadly, including undernutrition, obesity, and diet-related noncommunicable diseases. In 2022, 2.5 billion adults were overweight, with 890 million living with obesity, and 390 million underweight.
