These seeds can be found in the Rift of Thessaly biome on the surface. They turn into Mandrake Roots after planting them in soil plots and waiting for 17 encounters.It’s also used to brew the Surge of Fresh Air and Circles of Protection incantations to create Shrines of Hermes and Warding Circles. You’ll need Mandrake to unlock several late-game incantations in Hades 2. These will buff up Melinoe’s potential in combat and open up new areas at the Crossroads between runs. Here’s what you need to know about finding Mandrake seeds, how to plant them, and what their roots are used for.Mandrake seeds can be dug out with the Silver Spade at the Rift of Thessaly biome on the surface. You can craft the Silver Spade with 10 Silver, mined from the underworld with the Crescent Pick.
To plant Mandrake seeds and get Mandrake Roots, you need the Flourishing Soil incantation to unlock two soil plots near Odysseus. Buff this to four plots with the Rich Soil Incantation . They take 17 encounters to form so go on another run or spend time with an NPC at the Hot Springs to pass the time.
At first, you won’t be able to pass the seal on the stairway to the surface next to the underworld entrance. This can be dispelled with the Permeation of Witching-Wards incantation at Hecate’s cauldron. It needs reagents like 1 Cinder , 1 Shadow, and 3 Moly which can be found in Erebus.
