The judge said he took three months off Starrett’s sentence due to comments directed at him by ERC staff. “The conduct of the ERC guards was not just unprofessional, it was a gross violation of their duty to protect all prisoners at the ERC,” Henderson said. “It is not part of their function to assault, threaten or intimidate prisoners.”Article contentStarrett was arrested Nov. 23, 2019, after killing Ares in his Fort Saskatchewan home.
