“In that moment of decision making in real time and balancing what was the best thing to do, I don’t think anything prepared Sean,” Olsen said. “I just think a lifetime of being who he is.” McDermott’s former offensive coordinator in Buffalo, Brian Daboll, is often referred to as a player’s coach in his own right. Even he was taken aback by what transpired Monday night.
