, a solar provider, said that within the residential solar sector, households imported over R2.2 billion worth of solar photovoltaic panels in the first five months of 2022 alone. Banking group Capitec estimates that the start-up costs to get solar installed and going off-grid can range from R150,000 to R350,000.
