Butter and water are amongst the everyday items that have soared in price over the past 12 months. But even our condiments and sauces are on the rise with a jump of over 20%.
The cost of living crisis has been responsible for many day to day items rocketing in price.
Products such as butter, milk and potatoes have all risen and now an extensive list of what has gone up in price has been revealed. The figures are based on the Consumer Prices Index measure of inflation and have been published by the Office for National Statistics. In each case, the figure is the percentage change in the average price over the 12 months to August 2022. Here are some examples of how the cost of everyday goods and services has risen in the past year.
