Sports, Arts and Culture Minister Gayton McKenzie donated money to former 'Generations' actor Roderick Jaftha.
Minister Gayton McKenzie recently donated some part of his salary to legendary actor Roderick Jaftha.in September that he couldn’t afford to pay R2500 rent for a single room where he stays with his wife and four children.
He added: “Since I only speak Afrikaans and English, it is hard for me to get those roles. I have been getting gigs, but nothing significant.”Sources from Showmax said the role was created for him after the actor mentioned that he was struggling to provide for his children. “The one thing I have learnt is that it honestly helps talking about your situation. It really helps. I couldn’t put food on the table. As people, we are going through the most in life,” he adds.
