Monday, Saban decided to go another route
“Uh, I don’t know,” Saban started after being asked about developing a quarterback’s pocket presence. “How you gonna deal with not having your phone? You know you’re of that generation that, gotta have it.”. In reality, my work desk was probably too cluttered between my MacBook Pro and notepad. And when I reached back to grab the microphone from a UA aide, my right leg sent the phone flying. And in a good bit of cosmic comedic timing, it fell directly in Saban’s sightline from the podium.
