Now, I love my job and help thousands of people in person and online overcome bad eating habits and achieve their fitness goals. My work encompasses physical training plans, nutrition programmes and competition specific training. Having launched during the Covid lockdown, my business proved very successful and I realised I needed to make my systems more streamlined, so I signed up to GoCardless as soon as I could.

To help me save up for a home, I have signed up to a savings app called Nude. I put £150 a month in my Nude Lifetime Isa. For me to be able to buy in the area I am currently living in, I will need to clear £30,000 in profits a year! Using Nude’s app has certainly helped me get my finances on a steadier footing. I treat my monthly payment to the Lifetime Isa the same as I do a credit card payment. If I miss a payment one month I will force myself to pay in extra the following month.

To save money I now do my grocery shopping in Aldi or Lidl and have cancelled a number of subscriptions I did not use. I used to go horse riding once a week, but this cost £25 so I have scrapped this for the moment. I sell clothes I no longer wear and I batch cook every week, usually on a Sunday, so no food goes to waste and nothing goes off in the fridge.
