The fallen former CEO of FTX paid Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry millions of dollars for advertising his global cryptocurrency company that collapsed last year and landed its founder in jail, according to a new book by Berkeley-based bestselling author Michael Lewis.
Lewis told"60 Minutes" that he had all-hours access to Bankman-Fried and the two met more than 100 times over two years. During this time, Lewis writes that Bankman-Fried was determined to make his company"the go-to player in crypto.""He turned to the sports world to bring his exchange both legitimacy and edge," Lewis said during the"60 MInutes" interview."He paid Tom Brady $55 million for 20 hours a year for three years.
