I didn’t get the draw. I just wanted to do the things that I enjoyed, then hang out with my friends and be normal. But, as I got older, I realised it’s just part of it. People see you on a TV screen and you’re not normal anymore. I had to accept that it’s what comes with my passions. I still don’t like it to this day, but it’s just part of the job.I don’t like that people disassociate somebody on TV with a normal person.
I wish I could go back and be like, “Girl, you’re scared for no reason, it’s all gonna work out, stop.” But you never know in the moment. I was too scared to give up, more than I was scared to keep going. I didn’t want to be like, “Man, what would have happened?” I can’t live with regret like that.In this industry, you meet your heroes, and you’re not really supposed to do that… My mum is the only one I really looked up to, because I knew her character.
