Maple Leafs goalie Ilya Samsonov, often known for cheerful optimism in post-game interviews, had a rather sharp response to a question following Thursday night’s “baffling” loss to the Panthers.
in the first two games of the best-of-seven series is a “challenge” for Samsonov and if he needs to “raise” his game at all, the Toronto netminder was short and to the point. After a brief pause, the reporter followed up by asking why Samsonov didn’t care, to which Samsonov replied by saying: “It doesn’t matter for me.
