There is a reason why the Rattlers have become the best defensive team in the Indoor Football League.The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder plays the"bandit" position, a hybrid strong safety/linebacker/corner. He was the IFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2019, when the Rattlers lost their only game of the season in the United Bowl to the Sioux Falls Storm.
He's been here all of this season, and in a 4-0 start, he's been menace on the 50-yard field, leading a team that is beating teams by an average margin of 33 points and allowing fewer than 20 points a game, no easy feat in this league. He also had five tackles and a pass breakup and was named the IFL Defensive Player of the Week. It's the third time in four weeks that a Rattlers defender was bestowed the honor. Former Chandler High and San Diego State defensive back Kyree Woods won it twice already.
