The first day of spring is drawing near, and Wednesday will sure feel like winter is over. The National Weather Service in League City predicts a warm and sunny day with high temperatures in the 70s.
That glimpse of spring will be ripped away on Thursday, however, as a cold front is expected to bring cold temperatures, wind and possible thunderstorms. People heading to the beach Wednesday should take note. A high rip current risk on Gulf beaches continues through Wednesday evening. The surf on beaches from Bolivar Peninsula to Freeport will be dangerous for all swimmers, according to the weather service.The skies will be cloudy and temperatures will fall into the mid-40s north of Interstate 10. Temperatures will be in the 50s near Houston.It looks like a beautiful day is in store.
