Houston returns to No. 1 spot in Associated Press college basketball poll
Bob Levey/Getty ImagesThe Cougars moved back into the top spot in the Associated Press men's basketball poll Monday following another week of upsets.Kansas is No. 3 and UCLA is No. 4. Purdue, which has spent seven weeks in the top spot, was No. 5.
Virginia is No. 6, followed by Arizona, Texas, Baylor and Marquette to round out the top 10. TCU was 24th while Texas A&M entered the poll at 25th.UH received 48 first-place votes from a 62-member media panel after another shakeup at the top of the poll. There have been eight losses by the AP No. 1 team this season, the most since the 1948-49 season.
