Police have arrested a man accused of fatally shooting his girlfriend and wounding her daughter at a hotel in south Houston, according to the Houston Police Department. Officers recognized Christopher George Edwards, 52, Friday in the 1200 block of Prairie Street and they arrested him without incident.Edwards is charged with murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful carrying of a weapon in connection with the Jan. 23 fatal shooting in the 4500 block of Idaho Street.
Edwards is accused of fatally shooting his girlfriend, 41, and wounding her daughter, 21, officials said. The couple had been in an argument when Edwards is accused of pulling a gun and shooting her, before shooting at the daughter several times, striking her at least once, police said.
