Human Settlements Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi has announced policy changes to the Emergency Housing and subsidised Housing Programmes.

She says the changes will help speed up the delivery of housing units and enable the Human Settlements department to respond to disasters more effectively. The minister says the subsidy quantum will be increased by 29.7 percent for the 2023/2024 financial year, mainly to address the ever-increasing building costs.
