Democrats are launching a $20 million investment in voter registration that will home in on minority voters in key states as the party seeks to regain control of the House next year.
The initiative — launched by House Majority Forward, the nonprofit arm of Democrats' House Majority PAC, on Tuesday — includes a comprehensive grassroots mobilization effort centered on young voters and those in black, Latino, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, and Native American communities, according to the group. The House Majority PAC is the Democrats’ main fundraising arm and is tasked with building Democrats' ranks in the lower chamber.
The initiative is another investment in Democrats' strategy of targeting minority voters in key states as part of their bid to hold the White House and make gains in Congress. The Biden administration announced a $25 million ad buy last month, particularly targeting Hispanic and black media outlets in battleground states.
