The Wildcats were edged 67-64 by the North Nova Gryphons of New Glasgow, before falling to the Bay View Flames of Upper Tantallon 72-45 to wrap up opening day play of the two-day tournament at Sydney Academy gym. Meanwhile, the Breton Education Centre Bears downed the Riverview Ravens 100-85, before losing 86-80 to the Auburn Drive Eagles of Westphal. Both games played at Breton Education Centre in New Waterford.- Auburn Drive 110, Cobequid Educational Centre 57- 10 a.m. – Sydney Academy vs. Lockview, SA Gym- 12 p.m. – Bay View vs. North Nova, SA Gym- Jeremy Fraser is the sports reporter for the Cape Breton Post.
