Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust issued a statement after online post

Liverpool University Hospitals Trust posted a statement on social media on Friday, October 20, following a social media post uploaded on the personal Instagram account of Muhammad Abdelmoez Allam, who is understood to be a staff member.

A spokesperson for the trust, which runs the Royal Liverpool hospital, Aintree hospital, Broadgreen hospital and the Liverpool University dental hospital, said: "As an NHS trust we are committed to ensuring fairness and inclusivity for all individuals and communities and take extremely seriously all allegations of behaviour contrary to this commitment. We will investigate this matter and take appropriate action immediately having had it brought to our attention.
