TheRingsOfPower stars Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Owain Arthur & Ismael Cruz Córdova share a little bit more about their relationships, adventures, and character arcs as the premiere of TheLordOfTheRings prequel series approaches:

Unlike Peter Jackson, creators J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay are diving a little deeper to adapt the world of J.R.R. Tolkien for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The series acts as a prequel to the iconic titular novel franchise set in Middle-earth's First and Second ages.

In anticipation of the show's premiere, Screen Rant spoke exclusively with stars Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Owain Arthur, and Ismael Cruz Córdova to discuss The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, what's to come from their character's journeys, and more. It's a very small world, and her relationship with her father and her brother is sort of the heart of the season. I spent a lot of time with Lloyd and a lot of time with Maxim, and it was lovely.

In the first two episodes, there's the mention of the Great Migration coming up for the Harfoots, but can we look forward to Nori setting off on her own for a proper adventure in the coming episodes? Markella Kavenagh: [Laughs] Yeah, you'll have to wait and see. That part of it was so easy, but also both of them as actors are so inquisitive and talented that we got to explore and have massive chats on where our characters have been, where we're going and kind of question and doubt each other and push each other to different various places to build, what I hope, is a layered relationship.

It was very important for me, as a new character, to take on that responsibility and that honor of playing one of the types of elves that we haven't seen much. Being the first Elf of color in this franchise and in the universe of the imagery that we've seen, I wanted to implement some of my heritage as well and give a nod to that.
