Horror on Popworld dancefloor as thug bites man's ear off
A CCTV appeal has been issued by police after a thug bit part of a man's ear off on the dancefloor of a nightclub in the early hours of Christmas Day.
Detectives have issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak with as investigations continue. They said the attack happened after two men - the attacker and the victim - accidentally 'bumped into each other' in a bar area.It happened in Popworld on Pickford Street in Macclesfield, Cheshire, at around 3am on December 25. In a statement, Cheshire Police said: "Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to following an assault in Macclesfield.
"As they continued onto the dancefloor the suspect grabbed the victim and bit part of his ear off. The victim went to hospital to be treated for his injury."
