Horror as thug launches bin bag and box containing cats 'high into the air' in middle of park
Witnesses watched on in horror as two cats - including a three-month-old kitten - were 'launched high into the air' while trapped inside a bin bag and gift box.
Petrified, both cats ran off into nearby undergrowth before witnesses were thankfully able to catch them and alert the RSPCA, says the animal welfare group. The two cats are now safe in the care of the RSPCA - but the incident left one of the animals with a fractured leg. CCTV has also been checked, although it unfortunately does not cover the area of the park in which the cats were abandoned. The charity has appealed to anyone who recognises the cats, or has information about the incident, which happened at about 11am on Wednesday 12 April, to get in touch.
