The Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, Maryland, has collapsed after a cargo ship hit a steel beam. A search and rescue operation is underway."I can confirm at 1:35 a.m., Baltimore City police were notified of a partial bridge collapse, with workers possibly in the water, at the Francis Scott Key Bridge," a cop said."Please pray for those impacted," Johnny Olszewski, Jr, a Baltimore County executive said.
The structure, which opened in 1977, is one of the longest truss bridges in the world and crosses Baltimore's harbor.
