A minute of silence was held at Watford's training grounds before a wreath was later laid on behalf of the club.
It read: “Thank you for your service, our deepest condolences to all of the Royal Family. Thoughts and prayers are with you.Following the visit, the head coach said: “I think it was important for all of us at Watford Football Club to pay our respects. We held a minute’s silence at the training ground for all of the players and staff on Friday, outside on the training pitch.
“I then went to lay a wreath at the Peace Memorial on behalf of the football club. These are unprecedented times, and it’s very sad. “Much has been said and written about how people want to pay their respects and say thank you, and that was our way of doing so.”
