SYDNEY : Michael Hooper said he was open to returning as Wallabies skipper under new coach Eddie Jones as he prepared to embark on his 13th season in Super Rugby on Monday.

"I'm open to whatever's best for the team," he told reporters at the New South Wales Waratahs training ground. Australia kick off their international season in July with tests against South Africa in a truncated pre-World Cup Rugby Championship. "Physically and mentally, I feel great," he said."I think when you get closer to whatever the end looks like, you start to realise that it is about to end.
