Toronto police are advising drivers of “extensive” road closures set to take place ahead of the Honda Indy this weekend. The annual race returns to Exhibition Place from Friday through Sunday, but road closures begin Wednesday.
Southbound Strachan Avenue will close from Fleet Street to Lake Shore Boulevard West, beginning at noon.
Lake Shore Boulevard West will close from Strachan Avenue to British Columbia Drive, beginning at 8 p.m.“Motorists can expect significant delays in the area and are strongly encouraged to plan alternate routes,” police said in a news release.The TTC and GO Transit will provide increased service to Exhibition Place over the race weekend.
