A 73-year-old woman was hurt when police say a homeless woman stole her car from a church parking lot on Long Island and ran her over while fleeing.
Derick Waller reports the structural remains of the gutted two-story home are expected to be demolished later Monday.
After Lombardo opened the driver's door and tried to grab the steering wheel, police say Dunbar accelerated in reverse, knocking Lombardo down with the door and running over her legs. Dunbar continued accelerating, police said, crashing the vehicle into a guardrail and a fence before fleeing the scene on foot.Lombardo was taken to Stony Book University Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
