Crusaders win 1-0 to win 23rd provincial title

JOHN'S, N.L. — Holy Cross regained provincial senior men’s soccer supremacy with a 1-0 win over the defending champion Feildians Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022, at King George V Park in St. John's.
Steve DeLong scored the game's lone goal at the 64' mark with goalkeeper Thomas Pieroway registering the shutout. The win is the 23rd provincial title for the Crusaders, which has been named an Organisation of Distinction by Canada Soccer for its contribution to the sport. Cross will represent the province at the Toyota National Championships in Vaughan, Ontario October 5-10.
