Ethique's beauty bars sold out in 48 hours online, with a 55,000 strong waiting list. Now the vegan shampoo, conditioner and skin cleansing beauty bars are back in stock.
It's easy to see why beauty fans are smitten: each bar is made entirely from plant-based, cruelty-free ingredients and contains the equivalent of three bottles of product, without the plastic waste. In fact, even the packaging is entirely compostable so there's no trace of the bar left behind whatsoever.
Plus, each one is catered to a different hair or skin type, including frizzy, oily and dry, and there's even a bar for little ones. Clever eh?Holland & Barrett says the launch alone stopped more than 1,728 single-use plastic bottles being manufactured and, subsequently, ending up in landfill or in our oceans. They now hope the second drop will save over 70,000 plastic bottles from being produced. And have added solid face cream, serum and make-up remover bars to the range.
