Nolan Stevens and Cole Chandler each had four points as Steele Subaru topped the Cape Breton West Islanders 6-4 in Nova Scotia Under-18 Hockey League action on Sunday. Stevens scored twice, while Chandler, Connor Malana, Jacob Sanford and Carter Davidson had singles in the win. Rory Wood, Owen Chsholm, Jack Hayne and Alex Christmas replied for the Islanders.Halifax 8, Sydney 1:In Saturday games, Halifax beat the Islanders 4-1, the Valley Wildcats edged the Cole Harbour Wolfpack 6-5 and league-leading Weeks Majors doubled the South Shore Mustangs 4-2.
Cody Garcin added a goal and two assists and Riley Henman three assists in the win. Duggan Gauthier and Zachary Jenkins replied for Sackville.Arlen Denny netted the winner in overtime for the Eagles. Dante Basque added a pair for the Eagles while Blake Cox and Nathaniel Fuller tallied twice each for the Miners.Zackery Gould potted the winner in the extra session and Cody McKay popped a pair for the Blues.
