‘I have prepared myself thoroughly and I’ll win,” proclaimed Xolisani “Nomeva” Ndongeni at the end of his gruelling workout on Wednesday.
South Africa’s boxing darling is preparing for a non-title fight with American foe Ladarius Miller in Nassau, Bahamas, on May 13. “I’m ready to fight him. I’m not intimidated by him,” warned Ndongeni, as he went through a drill that lasted for an hour.The session, dubbed the Fight Week Media Workout, attracted mainstream media from local television and radio stations, as well as reporters from newspapers, who descended on the gym.
Between his drills, Ndongeni attended to media interviews. He says that he’s pumped up for the 10-round bout with Miller, which will headline the show – dubbed The Return of Drama in Paradise – at the newly constructed Thomas Robinson Stadium, as the Bahamas attempts to position itself as the boxing capital of the Caribbean.In times of uncertainty you need journalism you can trust.
