A vacant unit on Sir Thomas Street will house the café for three months

A quirky concept pop-up café aimed at people investigating their family tree is set to open in Liverpool city centre.

Findmypast is trialling 20 pop-up venues across the UK known as 'Findmypasty', with Sir Thomas Street set to host Liverpool's. The café will welcome experienced family tree researchers and novices who want to look into their ancestry using touchscreens, with millions of Liverpool records and historic newspapers available, along with free Wi-Fi and power points for customers who want to bring along their own devices.To fuel the investigations, hot drinks will be available, as well as a range of traditional pasties.
