free..but with a time limit

Quinte West council will decide on whether or not to make big changes to its public parking policies at its meeting Monday night.

The city’s pay and display parking meters in municipal lots are nearing the end of their useful life and council has asked staff to consider a so-called “hybrid” parking model in downtown Trenton. Staff is suggesting that new meters be installed in parking lots and that fees be increased to one dollar per hour.

However, all of the parking meters on streets would be removed and parking would free but with a two-hour time limit.
