Reagan continued to roll through its district schedule, dominating Churchill 44-7 Friday night at Heroes Stadium.
Reagan’s offense was without leading rusher Carson Green, who coach Lyndon Hamilton said was not with the team. Reagan quickly answered back, driving 75-yard in six plays. Pryor led the way, carrying four times for 40 yards on the drive. Pryor capped off the drive with an 18-yard run through the middle of the Chargers’ defense for a score.The Rattlers’ defense went to work on the next Churchill possession, forcing a punt attempt. Reagan’s special teams came up big with a block, with Matthew Quick breaking up the middle of the Churchill line to block the punt.
Cappuccio started off the scoring in the second half, finishing off a short drive with a 12-yard run around the left side. The possession was set up by an interception by Derek Davisson. The junior defensive back picked off Chargers quarterback Kyle Stamper at the Churchill 47 before returning it to the 39. Five plays later, the Rattlers were back on the scoreboard.
