The storm will continue into Thursday morning, bringing reduced visibility and rapid accumulation of snow.“Not just for the GTA but really from Windsor, the entire 401 corridor, to southern Quebec to eastern Quebec which will have a major impact on travel,” he said. “We will have a strong east wind with blowing snow and poor visibility during the storm.
“Our winter break is coming to an end; it’s been a January thaw that has dominated most of the month,” said Gillham, who added we can expect to shovel several times in the coming weeks. “We’re going into an extended stretch of winter. We have another system that we’re watching for Sunday. It won’t be as big. And the pattern probably continues into early February.”
