Two Hibs players allowed to depart for Championship clubs.
Firstly, Dan Mackay has departed Easter Road on a free transfer, with Partick Thistle swooping in for the winger. The attacker will now look to settle at his new permanent club Partick Thistle, where he has signed a two-year deal.
Head coach Kris Doolan commented: “We came into this transfer window looking to strengthen the wide areas so adding Daniel to the squad is very pleasing. He brings a lot of pace and directness to our attacking options having played at Premiership level last season. “After Steven Lawless’ injury we ended up with players playing out of position so we’re hoping to create a bit more depth in that part of the team this season to avoid that.
“In Daniel’s last two full seasons at this level he’s played just over 50 games and been involved in 17 goals which is a good return and we’re hoping that playing alongside some of our attacking players he can become even better and produce even more.”The central midfielder, 19, will re-join Rhys McCabe's side having also spent last season on loan with the Championship team.
“I’d like to thank Airdrie for the smooth handling of the loan and we look forward to seeing how he progresses.”Readers’ comments: You are personally liable for the content of any comments you upload to this website, so please act responsibly.
