Part of the Presentation Sister Convent on Military Road is having its heritage designation removed for a part of the building that was constructed in the 1960s. The change would allow metal siding on that part of the building to improve its sustainability. Courtesy of Heritage NLST. JOHN'S, N.L. — The last step in removing municipal heritage designation from part of the Presentation Sisters Convent on Military Road has taken place.
According to the architect, the plan is to do interior and exterior renovations to the convent and eventually turn it over to the city for use as affordable housing.
