Looking for some family-friendly entertainment? Or even education?
The annual free-days calendar offered by the Scientific & Cultural Facilities District has been released for 2023, covering the metro area’s biggest nonprofit institutions, from the Denver Art Museum and Denver Botanic Gardens to the Denver Zoo. The aforementioned are considered Tier 1 organizations in SCFD’s sales tax-enabled funding, and with another great haul this year — $70.5 million, or a 13.2% year-to-date increase over 2022 — they’re poised to support even more nonprofits.
Here are the highlights for Tier 1 organizations. Some organizations are free every day, such as Broomfield Veterans Museum, Foothills Art Center, Colorado Music Hall of Fame, and the Aurora History Museum, according to SCFD.for the full, updated list, and a printable bookmark for the institutions listed below. Most require online reservations, and all events are subject to change or cancellation.
