The latest data suggests that South Africa’s motorists are almost certainly in for a fuel price hike in November 2024.

This is due to a combination of the rand depreciating against the dollar and the price of oil continuing to rise thanks to ongoing unrest in the Middle East.If the market conditions were to remain consistent for the remainder of the month – an unlikely scenario with the rand/dollar exchange rate ever fluctuating and the oil price changing – an increase of 6 cents is expected for petrol 93 octane motorists and an increase of 17 cents for 95 users.
