As Chicago City Council Races Approach, Here Are the Candidates Who Submitted Petitions Monday
Incumbent Ald. Daniel La Spata filed his petitions on Nov. 21, as did three other contenders. Joe Moreno, Sam Royko and Andy Schneider all filed.Incumbent Ald. Pat Dowell was the first to file his petitions, but three other contenders threw their hats in the ring on Monday, the final deadline day. Don Davis, Alan Rasho and Jasmine Roberson all filed petitions, according to CBOE officials.With incumbent Ald.
Another eight candidates threw their hats into the ring on the final day of petition circulation, including William Hall, Steven Dejoie, Curtiss Bey, Paul Bryson, Sharon Pincham, Tavares Briggs, Aja Kearney, and Kim Egonmwam. Froylan Jimenez filed petitions on Saturday to challenge Lee, and Steve Demitro and Don Don filed on Monday.
