After months of speculation, we finally have our new Superman 🦸♂️ Deadline broke the news of the casting, but DC Boss James Gunn soon confirmed the news was true.
David, 29, and 32-year-old Rachel reportedly won the roles over the likes of Nicholas Hoult,The signings were apparently rushed through as an actors strike is rumoured to be kicking off on June 30.He tweeted: ‘They are not only both incredible actors, but also wonderful people.’
David Corenswet – best known for his roles in HBO’s We Own This City and Netflix’s The Politician – will replace Henry as Superman In December, 40-year-old Henry announced he wouldn’t be returning to the Superman franchise.reprising the role after making a surprise cameo in the end credits of anti-hero movie Black Adam, starring Dwayne Johnson.
However, just as quickly as he returned, he bowed out again with new DC Studios bosses James and Peter Safran making the bold decision to find a new Superman for the next instalments.
