Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the city of Toronto.According to David Phillips from Environment Canada, this will be a “welcome rainfall for farmers, parks and gardens” due an the uncharacteristic lack of rain in the area for the last three weeks.another derechoEnvironment Canada has indicated a cold front may follow the rainstorm, which could bring with it unseasonably low temperatures for this time of year, potentially dipping down into the 10s on Tuesday.
By the end of the week, says Phillips, temperatures will slowly rise again, with highs around 21 to 23 degrees celsius, followed by minor rain showers through the rest of the week. For information concerning flooding, Environment Canada suggests consulting your local Conservation Authority at ontario.ca/floods.
