To mark the end of the EA Sports-FIFA era, the guys over at have analysed streaming data for all FIFA soundtracks since the ‘90s – pulling out the most popular song from each game, and compiling the ultimate playlist.If you look up every song from each edition of the game from 1998 to 2022 on Spotify, the song Heat Waves by Glass Animals has picked up more than two billion streams on the streaming service, making it the most popular of all time.
Heatwaves featured on the FIFA 21 soundtrack and was a regular in the global charts. In fact, it was the #1 most streamed Spotify song in the world for several months.
