Images and footage taken at the scene show a huge fireball explode from a burning Range Rover
The heart-stopping moment a car went up in flames following a crash in Inverclyde has been captured on camera.
Images and footage taken at the scene, which were shared online by a motorist who witnessed the incident from the front of queueing traffic, show a huge fireball explode from a burning Range Rover, along with plumes of thick, black smoke which billow into the night sky. The busy road was blocked for a while and there was severe gridlock as first-responders tended to the victims and made every effort to bring the fire under control, which they eventually did.
