There were mixed feelings as we asked Rangers fans what they thought of Michael Beale.

Michael Beale has officially been appointed as Rangers' new manager. After serving for three-and-a-half years under Steven Gerrard, the 42-year-old has made his return to Ibrox after leaving last November to join the Liverpool legend at Aston Villa. In a statement made on Monday, Beale said:"I am hugely proud, it is a wonderful, wonderful football club, it is an institution.

We took to the streets of Glasgow to find out what Rangers fans think of the Englishman's appointment."I have faith that he'll turn things around. You saw the difference when he was up for the Aberdeen game. The players turned it on for him and proved to him that if he comes, this is what the team are capable of.Rick Swan, 66, from Glasgow city centre, said:"I'm pleased to hear the news.

"I think that he's got a major job to do because at the moment the team appears to be coming to the end of its cycle. There needs to be some investment there and if that happens, we should be good to go.However, William Black, 60, from Blantyre, said:"I don't know if I have faith in him or not."I'm a bit weary but hopefully he turns it around for us."

"Although he is a new manager in football and when he was previously here he did well as the brains behind the operation, there is the concern of not having the face of Gerrard.
