On the day, former Chiefs man Maluleka delivered a Man of the Match award winning performance and Arthur Zwane was not shy to compliment the midfielder."We know he’s a quality player. He used his experience. He helped AmaZulu go to the final with his performance, so there is no doubt, well done to George."
Maluleka spent seven years at Kaizer Chiefs between 2014 and 2020 – the most time’s spent at any club during his career. He also had a brief stint with Mamelodi Sundowns before making the switch to Usuthu. The veteran midfielder is a two-time MTN8 winner with both Kaizer Chiefs in the 2014/15 season and Mamelodi Sundowns in the 2021/22 season.
AmaZulu head coach Romain Folz may look to pin his hopes on once again in the experienced Maluleka when Usuthu meets Orlando Pirates at the final of the competition to be played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on 5 November.
